Tzipora Shub, LCSW

I am a licensed clinical social worker in private practice. I currently maintain two offices- one in Monsey, NY (Chestnut Ridge area) and one in Brooklyn, NY (Midwood).

 

 In my practice I have a specialty working with young adults navigating issues that include schooling and career choices, relationship challenges, and navigating complex family dynamics related to family of origin issues. I have experience working with a varied range of mental health issues including generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder.

I am trained in a wide range of therapeutic modalities and I work with each client to determine the treatment plan best suited for her/him. The modalities that I employ include Internal Family Systems, EMDR, relational work, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I see therapy as a collaborative process in which the client and I focus on helping him/her meet his/her therapeutic goals in a process that involves introspection, focus, skill building, self-validation, and learning to find value and purpose in life.

I also provide clinical supervision to other therapists looking to enhance their clinical practice, in addition to teaching social work students as a way to spread my passion and joy for the work that I do.
